Woohoo! Five years for Nonoba (2007-2012)! Hard to believe Nonoba has been here for five years. Anybody know the exact date to celebrate?

To kick off the celebration, we're currently enjoying how consistent the chat rooms are.

We could bake some bread cake and send it to the creators of Nonoba as a thanks for bringing some of us together for games, chat rooms and multi-player games. All those new to Nonoba... well, hopefully one out of three is good enough for you.

There should be a party or a convention. Where shall the party be?

Is anyone willing to rent a convention center to make this a big party for all? Or maybe there's a gaming convention that would be appropriate to throw a mini-party for Nonobians?

It could be an event to renew interest in Nonoba on a yearly basis or it could be the farewell tour that Nonoba seems to be on now.

There could be awards like best and worst game in the last five years, moderator most likely to go postal (or a gamer to go postal on), the I Shall Not Mention His Name Award, or even gamers inducted into Nonoba's Hall of Fame.

Oh, am I thinking too big for Nonoba? Am I seeing a future for Nonoba? Ya, that can't be good. Not even the creators, current administrators and some game developers of Nonoba will admit to any enthusiasm for this site. I've searched and there has been nothing posted since "a long time ago."

Either way, it's up to you Nonoba. Get your act together, celebrate and get the rest of us involved or go the way of the TV series "Lost".

Any old timers want to share some stories and clue us in to the good ole days of Nonoba and what we can expect (or not expect) in the future?

OK, I've been here for (over) four years. Ever since I joined, the site's been going downhill, so we can expect the site to get even worse in the future -- the chatrooms crashing is a good example of how much Chris and Henrik don't care. eei

side note: Does anyone remember when there were no ads on this site? And when Chris and Henrik blew all their money on developer contests that gave away cash in the hundred-thousands? They couldn't keep those running for more than a month.

Well i made so many accounts over the past five years nonoba been around like 3kMarioPk and Raw-Commando-Slasher. Well nonoba was fun but i don't think Chris is going to throw a anniversary party for nonoba he responds to our comments.

Don't know the exact date for you to don your party hat but it is around late summer or early autumn. I think I signed up September/October 2007.

Good old days of nonoba? Imagine everyone crammed into one chatroom with no way to close the chatroom. Oh yes there was only one chatroom back in the early days. Oh and obviously there were less multiplayer games so it was either Multiplayer Asteroids or Skissa. Of course you'd be listening to the Door to Darkness while playing either of those. But you didn't get an achievement for listening to it for 5555 seconds because they didn't exist back then either. And if multiplayer gaming wasn't your thing you probably played Race to the Bottom or Untangle....or maybe Flash Sliders.

Maybe Nonoba is planning something special for the 100th Day Anniversary of the Great 2011 Thanksgiving Outage that keeps lingering on and on.

Who actually knew at the start it would last this long?

Nonoba should start working once again I agree this used to be amazing

Yeah, I remember those contests. I won two $500 contests with my Flash games.

I'll probably be putting together a small Flash game to celebrate both Nonoba's 5th anniversary and my 55th month on Nonoba.

Nonoba is that old? Man, I must of been day dreaming or something, I haven't been paying attention to this.
